Furthermore, with the developing of science, exploring on the reasons of natural disasters in the field of science has been fruitful. Experts from various disciplines presented all kinds of different views. For example, Climate Change, Global Warming, Environmental Pollution, Crustal Changes bring natural hazards and disease, and so on. Conceivably, in those of parts, scientists have supplied plenty of scientific proof to people. For example, global warming is melting glaciers, rising sea levels, causing floods, is a chain reaction. Another one is deforestation leading to soil erosion, triggered landslides and so on. Also is causation relation. Although, the history of scientific development is short-lived, the gigantic achievements of science are exciting and resounding. Appreciatively, a series of difficult problems have been solved on science make more and more people to follow scientific.



Inevitably, those people of firm god-fideism still persist in their view. Furthermore, they advanced an opinion about high-profile event of late Haiti earthquake. After the earthquake, Robertson suggested that the earthquake of Haiti was God’s punishment for a 200-year-old secret pact with the devil; he faced outrage and scorn including some from fellow religious leaders. Although, some people said Mr. Robertson’s claim is not very remarkable. But there still are many religionists think he was believable. They think that God sends natural disasters to chastise His people, and only when those people repent do the disasters ease. It is distressing that natural-disasters are often termed “acts of God” while no “credit” is given to God for years, decades, or even centuries of peaceful weather. God created the whole universe and the laws of nature.


In conclusion, a natural hazard is a disaster caused by nature; all the natural disasters follow the rules of the nature. It is evidence that natural disasters cause great harm and loss for humanity and human society. Natural disasters are the most dangerous enemy. Only human beings constantly to research and understand it can protect themselves or avoid and reduce injury. To be honest, when disaster strikes, God is not the same in human.

First of all, the twenty-first century, it just carries one-tenth of the distance. Human beings have suffered a series devastation of severe natural disasters. Clearly, in many contemporaries’ memory there should have some iconic symbol of disaster. Tsunamis of India Ocean, Earthquakes of Hindi, and Volcanic Eruptions of Iceland… frequently, natural hazards not only did destruct human home but it also cause serious consequences on people’s psychic. An authoritative study shows that the psychological effects of natural disaster exposure are long-term and seem to be connected with the importance of the natural disaster in terms of deficit/ shortage. These frightening “evils” not only did wrap and roll compatriots’ blood and tears but it also becomes the most ferocious enemy of humanity Recently, the fifth largest glacier in Iceland – Eyjafjallajokull sub glacial volcano began erupting on 14 April, not only a large number of glacial melting caused flash floods, the resulting smoke and dust carried by the wind to move over the European continent, brought to Europe as long as week flight ban, resulting in losses for European airlines, many tourists travel disruption. Even New Zealand which is located in the southern tip also has not been spared. It is reported that European flights was suspended about 1500 passengers who plan to travel to Europe has been affected in New Zealand. Facing natural hazards, human being seems always feel very helpless and small.



However many people do not agree with it. They believe that natural disasters are god’s warning about human’s evils. Also, they mentioned some connected proof. Some prehistoric legends, for example, Norah’s Ark of Christian Bible, Hand that mends of China, Maya Prophecy of Mexico and so on. Recently, some explorers claim they have found the wreckage of Noah’s Ark in Turkey in April, 2010, where is the Bible records. In some senses, this finding seems confirm the authenticity of the Bible story, and the first big flood and Noah’s Ark is directly command of God. Absolutely, this is a quite exciting discovery for devout Christens all around the world.

Is Natural Disasters God's Punishment for Humans?

The occurrence of natural hazard has risen substantially over the past 20 years. “According to the figures released today by CRED [the center for research on epidemiology of disasters] in Geneva, 3,852 disasters killed more than 780,000 people over the past 10 years, affected more than 2 billion others and cost a minimum of US$960 billion.” (Fraster,2010) How astonishing it is. On the causes of natural disasters, people have never stopped researching from science or theological areas. There are quite range of evidences to prove that the causes of natural disasters by natural regularity, but there are also valid reasons for it was God’s commands. In the field of theological, many religionists think that natural disasters are the punishments of God. However, most of modern people believe all of the natural hazards are nature laws. In this blog, it will specifically at the consequences of natural disasters on people’s psychic and the natural regularity.
